New GCSEs from 2009

GCSEs are being redeveloped and reaccredited, to reflect new QCA criteria, as part of the wider 14-19 education reform programme.

Edexcel is looking for outstanding individuals to develop our new specifications, write assessment material and lead a team of examiners and/or moderators, ensuring that national standards are met.

We are currently recruiting for the following roles:
  • Chief Examiners, Principal Examiners and Principal Moderators

The recruitment process will be managed in two phases and will take place between January and October 2008.

Phase 1 subjects

The application deadline has now passed for Chinese, French, German, Health & Social Care, History, Psychology, and Spanish.

However, we are still recruiting for:

  • Citizenship (application deadline:15th August)


Phase 2 subjects

The application deadline has now passed for Arabic, Art and Design, Astronomy, Business Studies, Design & Technology, Drama, Engineering, Geography, Japanese, Leisure & Tourism, Modern Greek, Music, Physical Education, Religious Studies, Russian and Statistics.

However, we are still recruiting for the following subjects:

  • Applied Business, Business Communications, Business & Economics, Manufacturing and Urdu (application deadline: 25th August)

Interviews will be held between 11th August and 26th September.
