The senior examining team consists of: Chair of Examiners, Chief Examiner, Principal Examiner and Principal Moderator
The senior examining teams are responsible for
- Maintaining standards within a subject across different specifications from year to year
- Writing question papers, mark schemes and assessment objective grids.
- Ensuring internally assessed units meet the required standards
- Lead a team of examiners and/or moderators as necessary
- Lead the standardisation process for the examining teams
- Particpate in the awarding process
