BTEC Entry/Introductory External Verifiers

We have vacancies for External Verifiers for our Entry Skills for Working Life and Life Skills, and Level 1 Introductory Certificate and Diploma qualifications. Applicants must have experience of delivering and assessing both these qualifications.

As an EV for these qualifications your work would involve :

  • Verifying assignment briefs, internal verification evidence and assessment decisions - a similar NSS approach to that for Firsts and Nationals.
  • External verification of both qualifications across all subject sectors.
  • Ensuring the level of each programme is consistent across all subject sectors to meet national standards.
  • Preparing reports each for Entry Skills for Working Life and Life Skills, and Level 1 Introductory Certificates and Diplomas.
  • Sampling by a visit if there are over 101 registrations, across all subject pathways in either Entry or Introductory qualifications.
  • Sampling by post if there are up to 100 registrations across all subject pathways in either Entry or Introductory qualifications.

If you meet the criteria and are interested in developing further your understanding of programme delivery and of national standards, you should apply online. You will need to complete an application form and a selection exercise.

After receiving your application form we will send you an acknowledgement and an AID (Application Identification) number. Please insert this number onto your selection exercise before e-mailing it to: aarecruitment@edexcel.org.uk. You will have five days after receipt of your AID number to complete and return your exercise.

Please do not submit your selection exercise before you have received your AID number. However you may start preparatory work on the exercise as soon as you like.

EV training for both qualifications will be held on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th November 2008, at the University of Warwick. A training fee and travel expenses will be paid.
